Founder of the Body Memory Recall Approach

Jonathan's formal education includes a B.A. degree in Movement & Sports Science in 1991  from Purdue University and a B.S. degree in Physical Therapy in 1992 from the University of Evansville. His advanced training in mind-body therapy began in 1992 with John F. Barnes, PT., founder of the Myofascial Release approach. Upon completion of his Myofascial Release training in 1994, he was privileged to serve as the Chief Physical Therapist and a senior seminar instructor at the internationally recognized John F. Barnes' Myofascial Release Treatment Center in Sedona, Arizona. There, he successfully treated individuals from all over the world who suffered from conditions that failed to resolve from traditional medical treatment and therapy.

He expanded his training in mind-body therapy through the world renowned Upledger Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida to include Cranial Sacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation. When integrated with Myofascial Release, he discovered unique results treating a wide variety of conditions.

In 1997, BMR was envisioned by George Tripodi, Jonathan's father, who recognized that the fundamental affect of Jonathan's body work was the release of stored energy in the body from past experiences, thus the name Body Memory Recall. Jonathan has developed and refined his BMR approach into an innovative mind-body therapy that has supported hundreds of individuals to resolve pain and stress conditions from the past and experience new states of vitality, function and creative living.

Currently, Jonathan practices BMR in Virginia Beach, Virginia and teaches nationwide. He works successfully with physicians, counselors, chiropractors, physical, occupational and massage therapists.  His clientele includes infants, children, adults and seniors. As part of a holistic approach to wellness, Jonathan has found BMR to be an essential component to experience growth and lasting change.

Jonathan A. Tripodi is a certified provider of continuing education by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, Category A.
