Low back and neck pain are the two most common reasons for people to seek out care from a massage therapist or body worker. Are your hands, wrists, and elbows sore from over use on tough clients with chronic spasm? The use of positional release and the hand held T-Bar can reduce your energy output and increase you effectiveness with low back and neck spasm.

Understanding current treatment regimes for the acute and chronic pain patient and effectively communicating the bodyworker's special place in facilitating healing can make you a valuable asset to any team that supports patients with these maladies.

On Saturday we will review anatomy and biomechanics of the lumbar and cervical spine. Mechanisms of injury are discussed to help the student understand the most efficient way to release the trauma and spasm. We will take an in depth look at visceral referral patterns and red flags for involving other practitioners.

Sunday is spent learning and using the T-bar in specific patterns and positions to release paraspinal muscle tension through neurological stimulation and inhibition. You will be amazed by the simplicity and effectiveness of this technique and its ease in complimenting other modalities.
